Emma Olson BFA Capstone: What Remains

My work is about the rapid and alarming decline of Utah’s Great Salt Lake, a beautiful and complex ecosystem I grew up alongside and one I feel responsible for protecting. Almost my entire childhood was spent growing up in Kaysville, Utah, so the lake was always a large landmark in my backyard. Through this body of work, I am attempting to document what remains of the lake, showcase its beauty, and raise awareness in hopes that The Great Salt Lake can eventually return to a healthy level
